May we introduce: Our colleague Rene and his hyper-realistic mask (if you can't distinguish: Rene is on the left). It is one of many masks which we use to test the high security of our face authentication solution.

Why? Tricking common biometric authentication systems can be as easy as holding a realistic replica of someone's face up to the camera. Luckily, there are institutions that raise the bar: The international FIDO Alliance was established to set global standards for the accuracy and reliability of biometric authentication. We're happy to be one of their members and to support their journey towards more secure solutions.

Spoiler alert: Rene's lifelike copy could not fool our authentication technology.
