Presence detection by trinamiX is based on our patented Beam Profile Analysis technology. Beam Profile Analysis is an active measuring principle, where the target object is illuminated with a visible or infrared light source (e.g. LED or laser). The reflection of the light spot is then captured on photodiode sensors and its beam profile is analyzed. From the specific beam profile, we can calculate the distance to the measured object.

The unique measurement principle of Beam Profile Analysis provides consistent results independent of object color and is highly robust against background lighting conditions.
