BASF Thailand hands over trinamiX Mobile NIR Spectrometer to Plastics Institute of Thailand, advancing Circular Economy

BASF Thailand, represented by Roschan Lohakitsongkam, Group Managing Director of BASF Thailand and Vietnam, has handed over the innovative Mobile NIR Spectroscopy Solution for plastic sorting to the Plastic Institute of Thailand, represented by Panuwat Triyangkulsri, Acting President during a dedicated workshop themed ‘Innovation in mechanical recycling and plastic sorting’.
This strategic collaboration marks a significant step in the joint commitment to advancing plastic circularity in Thailand. The trinamiX mobile NIR spectroscopy device, developed by trinamiX GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BASF, provides an accurate identification of a broad range of plastic types on-site. This innovative tool optimizes the recycling process by ensuring high-quality sorting from the outset, thereby supporting the plastic industry on the path towards a sustainable circular economy.
