This is due to a key feature of trinamiX Face Authentication: Its capability to operate from behind the display. Mounting all sensing hardware behind OLED opens new design possibilities to manufacturers. Future smartphone designs will allow for a maximum screen-to-body ratio, while also including an invisible front-facing IR camera for highly secure face authentication.
Setting a new biometric standard
trinamiX Face Authentication includes our unique technology Beam Profile Analysis, which adds a new liveness check to biometric authentication processes on smartphones: the detection of skin. It can reliably prevent even advanced fraud attacks (e.g., using a realistic facial replica), which still pose a crucial security challenge to common systems.

trinamiX Face Authentication fulfills the particularly strict security requirements for user authentication during mobile payment. Our solution has proven to meet Android Biometric Class 3 (strong), IIFAA Biometric Face Security as well as FIDO Level C, a standard which will raise the bar in the future.
trinamiX’s solution provides smartphone users with secure access to their sensitive personal data. According to accredited test reports, our technology’s Spoof Acceptance Rate (SAR) is 0 %, which means that 0 % of all spoof attempts in the lab were successful. While answering highest needs of security, trinamiX Face Authentication performs in real time: Unlocking takes less than 250 ms.
